Abstract

The spike has its upper end an elongated clevis with two holes. The rod support is a plate with a ring and stirrup arrangement to hold the rod. Also in teh support plate is a pivot holes having a circular slot concentric with it. By means of a pin through the pivot hole and a screw and wing nut through the circular slot, both passing through the clevis sides, a locking device is formed. The rod is attached to the plate which is then pivoted about the pin and locked by the wing nut.
