Abstract

Door and window frames may be fabricated from the timber blocks glued together. Each block comprises three layers of wood to reduce warping by interaction and has the finish improved by eradication of imperfections in the timber. Wood can be of different types and different lengths, and each layer is formed from several pieces of wood joined end-to-end with cooperating saw-tooth faces. All jointing is carried out using waterproof, heat cured glue and a press.
