Abstract

The packing is made from a single sheet of cardboard etc., and is partic. for flat-based bottles. The base panel is joined to two elongate side ones, with retaining flaps protruding from the opposite ends of the side panels. The longitudinal edges of the base and side panels have three panels, the centre ones of which are scored such that when the side panels are folded upwardly, the edge and base flaps form a semi-open cavity around the bottle, a base cavity receiving the bottle base. One top flap can have a locking tongue fitting in a slot in the other and one flap of each side panel can be extended to form a handle.
