Abstract

In the parent patent a deposit of Mo and >=1 transition metal is made by means of a bath contg. an alkaline molybdate, a transition metal salt and an alkaline salt of an organic acid having a mixed alcohols-acids functions; the pH being 9-11; the cathodic current has a density > the 'fissuration threshold', and deposition is carried out for the 'scaling time'. In the addn. a series of layers are deposited with the current density chosen as a function of the layer thickness at which it will not cause fissuration, alternated with layers deposited at a current density and thickness such that fissuration occurs.
