Abstract
Appts. comprises a containers for the acidified sample, means for removing CO2 formed during acidification, device for the colorimetric titration of the sample by the passage of an electric current through the sample via a cathode and an anode; a pH-indicator with colour differences at acidic and basic pH, means for passing light through the sample the light intensity corresp. to the colour conc. of the indicator, photoelectric detector which generates a signal corresp. to the colour conc. at basic pH and one at acidic pre, means for generating a third signal corresp. to the logarithm of the two previous signals, a detector for the time at which the third signal reaches the equivalence pt. and means for measuring the amt. of electricity used.
