Abstract

A length of shaped section extruded PVC bar to be bent to form a frame for a caravan window, is cold bent in appts. which includes a bending template and pressure shoes or rollers, and is heated to 50-70 degrees C for 2 mins. for a thickness of 2-5 mm. for stabilisation, followed by 2 mins. cooling. The heating and cooling system employs air jets delivered from a valve arrangement with automatic control.
