Abstract

Bending PVC-profiles with heaters and cylinders (picture 1) is in the area of PVC carpentry; the manufacture of windows, doors, skylights etc from PVC profiles. The technique of bending relates to arch carpentry produced from PVC-profiles. The very technique for bending PVC-profiles is performed on the machine for bending aluminum profiles (1) with the addition of heaters (4 and 5) that heat the PVC-profile (6) with hot air and thus soften the PVC-profile set between plastic cylinders (2 and 3) and by moving the profile (6) to the left and right by turning the two back cylinders (2) and moving the cylinder (3) towards the PVC-profile (6), the bending of the PVC-profile occurs, along with the steel reinforcements which are bent together with the PVC-profile (7).

Description

Bending PVC profiles with heaters and cylinders
The area of the technique that the invention relates to
The invention belongs to the area of aluminum carpentry (locksmithery), and it enables the bending of PVC-profiles with three plastic cylinders and heaters, which heat the PVC-profile and by moving the PVC- profile to the left and right between plastic cylinders, the bending of PVC- profiles used for producing arch PVC-caφentry (windows, doors, skylights) occurs.
The technical issue
The invention solves a completely new way of bending PVC-profiles with three plastic cylinders and heaters which heat the PVC-profile which then bends as a result of the movement of the middle cylinder towards the PVC-profile. The bending of the PVC-profiles is similar to the bending of aluminum profiles except from the fact that the PVC profiles are in this case heated and bent along with the steel profile. The bending of PVC-profiles has so far been performed solely in hot (glycerin) oil and hot air where the PVC-profile is heated up to a pulpy state and then set into curved frames where it gets the desired diameter of the PVC arch after the cooling.
The state of the technique
Present bending of PVC-profiles is extremely expensive because of the expensive profiled outer and inner caterpillar treads, which have the task of preserving outer edges and the appearance of PVC-profiles.
Present bending of PVC-profiles is on average up to forty times more expensive than the invention when it comes to tools used for bending. Apart from that, the heating of PVC-profiles is much cheaper than the present heating in hot oil and tub. This has been solved with heaters, which blow hot air into the PVC-profile. Stating the essence of the invention
The bending of PVC-profiles is performed with the help of profiled plastic cylinders between which the PVC-profile moves and gradually bends with the assistance of two or three heaters, which blow hot air and are ten centimeters away from the PVC-profiles. The difference between this kind of bending and the present technique of bending PVC-profiles is that this kind of technique is forty times cheaper. The range of bending is much larger because it does not depend on the length of the profiled joint elements that preserve the shape of the PVC-profile. The strength of the arch is the same as the strength at the verticals because there is a steal "TJ" profile both at the vertical sides and at the arch, unlike the present bending where PVC- profiles are not bent with this steal "TJ" tin. The speed of the bending is the same as before, but it can be increased if the PVC-profile is put into a heated chamber, which will soften the profile and speed up the bending between the cylinders, along with the steel reinforcement in the PVC-profile.
Short description of the sketches
The invention of the new technique of bending has been described in detail in the example of the performance presented in the sketch where:
- Picture 1 - represents the starting point of the PVC-profiles in the bending machine with heaters that heat the PVC-profile.
- Picture 2 - represents the section of the back plastic cylinders and PVC-profiles.
- Picture 3 - represents the section of the front cylinder and the PVC- profile.
The detailed description of the invention
The pictures represent the technique of bending PVC-profiles (6) between the plastic cylinders (2 and 3) and by the heaters (4 and 5) using a standard machine for bending aluminum profiles (1).
In accordance with the idea of the invention of the technique of bending with cylinders and heaters, this is the following procedure:
The desired PVC-profile is taken. The final point of the profile obtained from the formula for the regular arch (L=Rp) is marked, and for the clip (L=Rpα/l 80) also. Two technological supplements (T), picture (1), are added to the calculated L. When the PVC-profile is cut to its total length (Lu=L+2T) it is then filled with quartz or sifted sand. Plugs are placed at the ends of the profiles, stopping the spilling of the sand from the PVC profile (6). Then, the PVC profile (6) is placed between the profiled plastic cylinders (2 and 3). In the meantime, heaters (4 and 5) are switched on, which blow hot air up to 120 C. The distance between the heater and the PVC profile is 80-150 mm depending on the desired diameter. The bending of PVC profiles starts by the rolling of the back cylinders (2) up to the point marked on the profile, obtained by the formula (L) where the middle cylinder (3) strikes and gradually moves towards the PVC profile. The profile moves left and right to the final points the whole time and thus the bending starts and lasts until the required arch is obtained. Depending on the diameter, the arch bends into a smaller diameter 30-40 mm because of the releasing and retreating of the middle cylinder (3) and the extraction of the PVC profile (6) from the machine when the diameter increases by 30-40 mm and thus the desired arch is obtained. The obtained arch is cooled by compressed air for about ten minutes and then the sand is taken out and the PVC profile is cleaned (whiped). Bending of the PVC profile is ended this way. The appearance of cylinders 2 and 3 along with the PVC-profile (the section) has been displayed in pictures 2 and 3.

Claims

The patent request
1. Bending PVC-profiles is in the present technique performed by joint profiled cateφillar treads which surround the PVC-profile (6) and enter the inner part of the profile, and thus the outer appearance of the PVC-profile is preserved. The bending of PVC-profiles by heaters and cylinders is marked by the fact that, instead of extremely expensive profiled cateφillar treads, plastic cylinders are used (2 and 3), profiled according to the PVC-profile (pictures 2 and 3) and the inner part of the PVC-profile (6) is filled with quartz sand, and steel reinforcements which are bent together with the PVC-profile (7).
2. Bending PVC-profiles is in the present technology performed by heating the PVC-profile in hot glycerin oil, requiring a tub and oil heaters. The bending of PVC-profiles by heaters and cylinders is marked by the fact that, instead of using hot glycerin oil, three heaters that blow hot air are used, which softens the PVC-profile and obtains the desired diameter in an incomparable way.
