Abstract

A combustible adhesive comprises nitrocellulose (I), a solvent for (I), a long chain polyol and a polyisocyanate, the NCO/OH ratio being 1-1.2. Used for bonding powder blocks in multi-stage propulsion rockets and combustible socket units in ammunitions. The compsn. is free of light solvents for (I) and couples the strength and rigidity of cellulosive adhesives with the excellent adhesion of polyurethanes.
