Abstract

Glass fibres are drawn from molten glass in a duct, via jets which produce concs of molten glass of varying viscosity. Heat exchange tubes are provided in the body of the duct between rows of jets, such that certain of the tubes have projections extending longitudinally away from the cooling tube and between the jets.
