Abstract

Hydraulic gypsum lime systems, which set to yield time stable and non swelling sets and which contain no clinker, slags etc., additives, contain 60-96% calcium sulphate, 3-18% hydrated lime, 4-22% dicalcium silicate (C2S) and 4% of inactive matl. The hydraulic lime is used at 5-40 wt.% of the calcium sulphate and contains 10-70% Ca(OH)2, 20-90% C2S and 40% of inactive matl. The calcium sulphate used can be overburnt or a mixt. contg. 33-50% overburnt matl. and 66-50% of alpha or beta semihydrate. The calcium sulphate lime mixes can contain retarding agents such as keratin or citric acid at up to 2 wt.% based on the mixt.
