Abstract

A method of recovering suspended solids from a liq., esp. sewage, utilises a downward moving filter and suction device. The permeable polymer or cellulose filter cloth rides on an endless perforated belt, dipping into the liq.; the suction units produce a continuous deposition on the filter cloth of at most 1-2 (0.1-0.3) mm thickness when then cloth emerges.
