Abstract

On the operation of a forward or reverse start button, an electric motor rotates a drive linkage through the electromagnetic coupling to a clutch unit, where ratchets engage or disengage the clutch, to rotate the drive shaft of the dobby. Device gives a controlled dobby motion to locate the pick, without the labour and complexity of a manual handle and its linkage, and the risk of accidental operation.
