Abstract

To lower or raise glass transport rollers in e.g. plate glass annealing furnaces, a follower wheel meshing with a pinion is provided at one end at least of the roller, and the pinion meshes with another follower wheel on the drive shaft. The end of the roller turns in a bearing attached to an arm articulated to an axle aligned with the axis of the pinion.
