Abstract

PURPOSE:To correctly hold the turning angle of an idler wheel, by applying a brake to turning motion of the idler wheel with an electromagnetic brake when the turning angle of the idler wheel reaches a prescribed angle. CONSTITUTION:An idler wheel 1 is axially supported to an idler wheel bracket 2 and driven by an oil hydraulic motor 4 through a spur gear 3, fitted to the idler wheel bracket 2, and intermediate gear 5. A potentiometer spur gear 6 is meshed to said spur gear 3, and a turing angle of the idler wheel 1 can be detected by a potentiometer 7 through rotation of the gear 6. On the other hand, an electromagnetic brake 13 is provided in the intermediate gear 5, and the brake 13 operates when the turning angle of the idler wheel 1 detected by the potentiometer 7 reaches a prescribed angle.
