Abstract
Novel silanes of sulphonic acid and phosphoric acid amides, useful as glass fibre adhesives and finishes for metal surfaces, are of formulae XNY-(CH2)n-Si(OR)3 (I') and X-NY-(CH2)p-CH(CxH2x+1)-Si(OR)3 (I") (where n = 1-6; x = 1-4; p is integer 1-4-x; R is opt. identical 1-6C alkyl or alkoxy and X is H or -(CH2)n-Si(OR)3 or -(CH2)p-CH(CxH2x+1)-Si(OR)3; Y is A-SO2- or (R'O)2PO-, where R' is 1-4C alkyl, phenyl or benzyl and A is opt. halogenated 1-8C alkyl or alkylene or benzyl, which is opt. substd. by >=1, opt. identical halogen, 1-4C alkyl and/or alkoxy, halogenated 1-4C alkyl, -CN, -NO2- acylamino or carboxymethyl gps.). They are prepd. either by addn. of a trialkoxysilane to a sulphonic- or phosphoric acid alkenamide in presence of Pt cpds. as catalyst, or by reaction of a sulphonyl- or phosphoryl chloride with aminoalkyl-trialkoxysilane.
