Abstract
A substrate, which may be in two parts, is formed with patterns of heat transferable ink (e.g. aq. emulsion of pigment, heat setting resin pref. polyurethane and 0.05-0.2% acetic acid) and the patterns on one part are the inverse of the patterns on the other part. The two parts are placed on opposite sides of a fabric and the assembly heated and pressed to transfer the patterns to the fabric. The front and back of a garment may be simultaneously printed, or various panels of a garment may be simultaneously marked out on a workpiece.
