Abstract

The cable comprises a pref. flexible tubular sheath in which is provided a pref. plastic floatable core which ensures the floatability of the cable. The core may be in the form of (a) a continuous open-ended tube; (b) a series of separate short open ended tubes; (c) a continuous tube which is nipped and welded at spaced posns. to form a series of air pockets. or (d) a series of separate closed end tubes. The cable is used as a fishing line, a line for supporting fixing nets, a life line etc.
