Abstract

A wall covering comprises a non-woven fibre mat secured by (e.g. adhesive) between a decorative facing fabric (e.g. knitted or woven of e.g. PVC and polyester/flax yarns) which is visible and a backing paper (e.g. paper, cellulose acetate film) which is permeable to gas but impermeable to dust so that paste used for securing the covering to a wall or dust from the wall cannot penetrate through the covering and contaminate the visible facing fabric.
