Abstract

A fabric is made up of single filaments of polyamide, polyester or polyolefine to a rectangular mesh of a few mm. This is then treated to deposit a coating of Ni or Cu on top which not only prevents electrostatic charging but also produces a material suitable for silk screen printing or high frequency electrical screening. The metallisation enables the sieve to be conductivity-heated if desired.
