Abstract

The invention comprises crystals of nitrofurantoin which are substantially cubic in form and of a size capable of passing through a 50 U.S. mesh screen but not through a 400 U.S. mesh screen, and a process for their preparation comprising collecting crystals deposited from a solution of nitrofurantoin in nitromethane and screening them through screens of the required mesh size.
