Abstract
The temp. of the mass in the reaction zone is reduced from 1300-6500 degrees C to 1000-1900 degrees C, and the TiCl4 is fed in liq. from into the plasma of the O2 or O2 contg. gas. Pref. the liq. TiCl4 is fed together with AlCl3 vapour present in amts. of 1-4% w.r.t. TiCl4 wt.
