Abstract
The film contains a thorough mixture of (a) a copolymer or homo-, copolymer mixture of vinyl chloride and a vinyl ester partially saponified (contg. 2-30% pref. 3-20% of vinyl ester or alcohol and with specific viscosity 50-500 cm3 g-1 (b) >=9C sulphobetaine of formula (I): (where R1, R2, R3 are total 12-50C alkyl), and (c) a trialkyl or triaryl phosphate (1-8C pref. 3-5C e.g. triphenyl phosphate). Leaching agent is a water miscible alcohol. The membranes can be dried without loss of props. They are used for dialysis, ultrafiltration, gas permeation for separating He, O2 or N2.
