Abstract

Electrode comprises a ring of steel coated with a flux layer comprising 40-80% marble, 5-30% F, 1-10% ferrosilicon, 1-15% ferrotitanium, 1-10% Mn, 0.5-03% Al, 1-15% dacite and 1-15% sodium silicofluoride, opt. cont. up to 10 wt.% chrome, up to 10 wt.% Mo and up to 5 wt.% V, according to the compsn. of the alloy to be welded. Electrode is easier to manipulate than prior art electrodes for use at elevated pressure and temp.
