Abstract

Method comprises electroplating on to a single cathode while altering the current density as follows initially the c.d. is 1000-5000 A/m2; in the penultimate stage c.d. is 5000-10000 A/m2 for 1-300 sec.; and in the final stage the c.d. is 4000-50000 A/m2 for 1-200 sec. The electrolyte is stirred in all stages except the last. This gives improved quality of the outer surface of the strip so that it has the required adhesion with dielectrics when used in electronics.
