Abstract

In a mould for vacuum forming and welding thermoplastic sheet to cover prefabricated trays which may already be filled, the top part of the mould incorporates a pneumatic chamber with an internal perforated cowl promoting a smooth uniform distribution of pressure on top of the film of make it conform to the surface of the contents of the tray. Esp. suitable for covering trays contg. food or other relatively impermeable and irregular materials.
