Abstract
In the prod. of a dental prosthesis, an outer coating of porcelain or synthetic resin is bonded to an inner core of a non-precious metal with a thin, intermediate layer of pure gold deposited on the core by electrolysis. The construction is as strong and attractive as the conventional prosthesis formed on a core of Au/Pt construction, but is much cheaper to produce. The outer plating of pure gold on the core permits secure bonding to other prostheses made of or coated with gold.
