Abstract

A stainless cap for a tooth stump, is successively electrolytically deposited with nickel and gold and then coated with an opaque cream. This is followed by baking in an oven, and coating with a ceramic. The cap is then ready for fixing on the stump of the tooth. The adhesion of ceramic to stainless steel is thus satisfactory.
