Abstract
Si target of the n-type conductivity comprising p-type silicon raster islets (depth 0.5-5 mu) disposed on the n-type Si; which is coated outside the islets with a 0.2-2 mu SiO2 layer, in which the surfaces of the p-type Si islets lie ca 0.1-1 mu below the surface of the n-type Si and extend underneath the SiO2 coating for the same distance; the p-type islets are provided with a metal coating (e.g. Ni) extending over the SiO2 layer for 1-5 mu and anchored beneath the SiO2 edges to a distance of 0.1-1 mu. The electron beam is not deviated by the negative charge on the SiO2 layer.
