Abstract
Centrifugal heat pump which runs a compressible fluid such as air, H2 or NH3, through its hollow rotor while a secondary fluid, often air or water, is run through the housing passages around the rotor. The primary, compressible fluid is delivered at a lower temp. than that at which it enters the pump. and the secondary fluid at a higher temp. than on entering. The primary fluid is usable as a cooling agent and the secondary as a heating agent.
