Abstract

The heat supply system for a diesel engine (16) includes a compressor (2) on the output shaft of the engine, forming part of a heat pump. The condenser (3) of the heat pump is included in a heating circuit (8). The engine also drives a rotor (20) immersed in the oil bath (17) of the engine, acting as a hydraulic brake. Also immersed in the oil (18) is a heater (19) which is included in the heating circuit. An additional hydraulic fluid is not required.
