Abstract
A thread cutter assembly that can be fitted to any type of single thread blind stitch sewing machine fixes to the machine housing and comprises a drive, pref. an electromagnet linked by a lever to a rocker arm carrying the cutter blade, and to a lever which clamps the thread firmly during the shearing operation, thus leaving an end of thread long enough for an immediate loop when the next seam is started.
