Abstract

Glass bottles are coated on >=1 surface with nylon 10 nylon 11, nylon 12, nylon 610, nylon 612 or a copolyamide with >=30% of >=1 of the above type, in a thickness of 30-200 mu. The combination of tensile strength elongation at break and adhesion results in less scattering of glass fragments on breakage than with any of the known plastics coatings.
