Abstract

Device for injecting expansible polystyrene or similar thermoplastic materials into moulds, i characterised by (a) the very short front part, on which contains the injection channel, being terminated by a tip of truncate conical shape coaxially surrounding the front end of the injection channel, and (b) the centring device at the front end of the tube has, at the side turned towards the injector, a cavity of truncate conical shape having the same conicity as the truncate conical tip of the front part of the injector so that it can receive this tip, and, at the side turned towards the mould, a tip pierced by a cylindrical passage which discharges into the truncate conical cavity, and, when the truncate concial tip is engaged in the truncate conical cavity, is situated in the extension of the injection channel, the tip of the centring device penetrating into an orifice in the mould body. The injector can be rapidly mounted on and removed from, the mould body.
