Abstract

Extrusion head has a nozzle provided with an extrusion die which has a spherical end fitting into a cavity of the connection piece, this cavity consisting of a cylindrical part with the same diameter as the spherical end, and a conical base placed tangentially relative to the spherical end, while the face of the connection piece in contact with a support possesses a sharp edge. The head is moved intermittently to inject plastics material into a mould. The construction of the head prevents leakages between the nozzle and the connection piece, and the formation of projections in the cavity of the support, which are difficult to cut off in the congealed state.
