Abstract

Powder is extracted from a fluidised bed in a pressure vessel and delivered continuously in an air stream. A perforated, rising air line passes through the bed to pick up powder which it delivers into an air stream where it passes from an air supply line to a powder delivery line, both the rising line and supply line being fitted with independent control valves. The control of powder delivery is extremely precise by balanced regulation of the two valves. Apart from the valves, no mechanism is involved in conveying the powder.
