Abstract

Substrates are coated by HF cathode sputtering at 10-1 - 10-3 Torr pressure by a cathode, surrounded by a screen at anode potential. In addition, conductive intermediate screens are put between cathode and screen, insulated from cathode and anode, the clearances being such that no glow phenomena occur. The outer screen surrounds the face ends of the other its own face end terminates at right angles to the cathode.
