Abstract
The epoxy resins used are pref. those having a m.pt. about 42 degrees C and which have been purified in known manner to contain 0.1% Cl. Fillers, pigments, lubricants, etc. may comprise is not >150% of the solid epoxide resin. The impregnant requires very short curing times and can be used to impregnate glass fibre structures of large size, the curing being effected under heat and press. and simultaneous shaping. The impregnated materials have high mechanical resistance and good electrical props.
