Abstract
Glass melting tank from which glass sheet is drawn upwards, whereby in the supply channel prior to the drawing chamber at least one tube capable of carrying cooling fluid is located. The tube is bent into a curved path across the tank in such a way that it can approach the surface of the melt more closely at one or more positions, than the axis through the supports of the tube, and is mounted so that it can rotate about these supports and bring cooling fluid (in the tube) close to the surface at different positions across the width of the tank. The invention evens out the temp. distribution of air currents circulating above the melt just prior to its being drawn.
