Abstract

An attachment on a circular knitting machine which is mounted on the cylinder surround. This consists of a curved finger, which catches a stitch loop and moves it onto a neighbouring needle, so that the number of stitches are reduced, which effect a number of backward and forward movement of the finger for a revolution of the cylinder. This movement is fully synchronised to the rotation of the cylinder.
