Abstract

Microporous polyvinylidene fluoride membrane has pore volume of >=50% and the majority of the pores have dia. 0.5-2.0 m mu. The membrane is corrugated with >=3 corrugations/cm. Pref. used in membrane distillation method for water purification which requires less powder than reverse osmosis. Not wetted by brackish or salt water.
