Abstract

A multi-staged arcurately-driven machine centrifugally moulds hollow glass articles, especially television picture tubes. Each of a ring of moulds is moved in succession past a gob dispensing station to a second station at which a press tool produces preliminary deformation of the gob. The mould is then spun to produce final, centrifugal deformation of the gob, and is subsequently indexed through trimming, cooling and ejection stations.
