Abstract

The concentrate is treated as follows: (a) attack with HNO3; (b) hydration and elimination of the attack residue; (c) treatment of the soln thus obtd. by liquid-liquid extraction with tributyl phosphate in the presence of H2SO4 until NO3- ions are eliminated (d) partial neutralisation of the soln. with CaCO3, followed by filtration; (f) liquid-liquid extraction of the soln by means of an organic soln. of sulphonium thiocyanate; (g) electrolysis of the soln. using insoluble anodes.
