Abstract

Conventional pressurised multistage steam evaporator utilising cascaded two chamber column type heat exchangers, in which an additional stage utilises the thermal energy of the final concentrate to generate a lower pressure steam line. Plant has increased thermal efficiency readily disposable effluent streams are obtd. and contaminated steam streams are eliminated. The appts. is esp. useful for treatment of fruit in distilleries.
