Abstract

In a multistage evaporator unevapd. liq. flows from one stage to the next which is at a lower pressure. The vapour from one stage exchanges heat through a thin flat wall with liq. in the following stage. The vapour condenses and the liq. partially evaporates at the lower pressure and temp. Device is for distilling small quantifies of water, e.g. for domestic use, and has low energy requirements for a multistage evapn.
