Abstract
Stress-induced hypertensive situations can be treated by compsns. contng. (a) an anti-hypertensive chosen from the following types (i) alpha-amino-beta-hydroxyphenyl propionic acids and pref. alpha-amino-alpha-methyl-beta-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)propionic acid, (ii) beta-amino beta-alkoxyphenylpropionic acids, pref. beta-amino-alpha-(3,4-dimethoxy phenyl)propionic acid. (iii) hydrazinopyridazines, pref. 1,4-dihydrazines, pref. 1,4-dihydrazinophthalazine, (iv) sympathicolytics, e.g. 2-benzyl-4,5-imidazoline and (b) a tranquiliser of formula (I), where R degree = NH2, opt. substd by one or two l-alkyl; R1 and R2 = l. alkyl, l. O-alkyl, OH, hal. CF3, NO2, NH2 or H; R3 = Cl, Me, or H, R5 = H or l. O-alkanoyl, and R6 = H or R5 + R6 = O, and R7 = H or R6 = H and R5+R7 = a double bond.
