Abstract

An inertia filter in the form of two layers of parabolic shapes of suitable material. Incident air strikes the first layer of parabolas, passes between them and is diverted by a second layer pointing in the opposite direction. The air changes direction yet again and continues on its original path; the slope of the parabolas is such that any relatively heavy impurities after striking the parabolas are reflected to the respective foci to coalesce into layer particles. Substances with the consistency of snow coalesce on the surface of the parabolas.
