Abstract

Methylene bis - hydroxy-3-naphthoate-2 -4- of N (dihydroxy-3,4-phenyl)-2-hydroxy-2-ethyl , N methyl-1(methylene-dioxy-3,4-phenyl)-2-ethyl amine, (or protokylol pamoate) of formula- with bronchodilator activity lasting twice as long as that of protokylol hydrochloride. Useful for treating bronchitis and amphysema at doses of 50 mg/day orally or 100 mg/day rectally. Prepd by adding a soln of pamoic acid to a soln of protokylol hydrochloride.
