Abstract

Pharmaceutical compositions having b -glucuronidase-inhibiting activity comprise a carrier and 2,5-di-O-acetyl D-glucosaccharo-1,4-3,6-dilactone. They may be in forms suitable for oral, parenteral or rectal administration and may comprise a b -group vitamin or vitamin C or a glucuronic acid derivative e.g. p D-glucuronolactone or D-glucuronamide in addition to conventional diluents and excipients.
