Abstract

Machine comprises a charging hopper, the lower part of which has a cylindrical surface, which follows the lateral surface of a cylinder, which also rotates in bearings fixed to the machine framework. The cylinder performs an alternate oscillating movement, with an amplitude of 90 degrees, through a link-rod system. A piston slides freely in a central boring in the cylinder; its position is controlled by a cam guide and a pully on the end of the piston rod. The inclination of the cam guide can be altered by means of a handwheel. Movement of the piston draws dough into the boring; as the cylinder moves through 90 degrees the dough is expelled and falls into one of the cups of the conveyor. The bandwheel controls the amplitude of the piston stroke and therefore the quantity of dough delivered. Machine is simple and can be used without difficulty by unskilled labour.
