Abstract
Choline dehydrocholate, a compound for treating biliary and hepatic disorders which combines the properties of the components in a single compound. The compound is of low toxicity and is non-toxic at 5000 mg/kg orally in rats. It does not cause changes in arterial pressure or respiration at 10, 20 or 40 mg/kg in rats. The daily adult dose is 2-6 250 mg tablets orally. It is prepared by mixing choline hydrate with dehydrocholic acid.
